Salans has boosted its Hungary arm with the hire of Nörr Stiefenhofer Lutz partner Andreas Köhler, setting up a German desk in Budapest in the process.
Köhler’s ;practice specialises in real estate and employment advice and he will be responsible for strengthening business ties between the Hungary office and Germany.
Budapest co-managing partner Tamas Tercsak said: “The nexus Andreas brings to Salans between Germany and Hungary adds a new dimension to the service we can provide our cross-border clients with.”
Salans has an office in Berlin, but Köhler will bring his Munich contacts to the firm. At Nörr Köhler split his time between the Munich and Budapest offices.
Salans has seen a strong growth in Central and Eastern Europe, with revenue increasing by 37 per cent last year to hit $282m (£145m).
