Clifford Chance wins battle of the brands

While Clifford Chance has emerged as the law firm with the strongest brand in the UK (see story), The Lawyer has triumphed as the strongest brand in legal publishing.

In fact it’s the only legal title to make the top 500 ‘Superbrands’ ranking, compiled by YouGov, which researched 1,400 business professionals, who obviously have exceedingly good taste.

We may have finished behind the entire magic circle, but at least we beat Baker & McKenzie and Norton Rose.

A Norton Rose spokesperson said he was thrilled to finish eighth among the nation’s law firms, and congratulated The Lawyer on finishing above Bakers and Norton Rose.

“To be included in the top 500 brands in the UK is a hell of an achievement,” said the PR guru. Amen to that.
