DLA is accelerating its push into the Italian market as it inches closer to opening its first office in Rome.
The firm is set to relocate one of its Milan partners, Stephano Modenesi, to the Italian capital and is understood to also be in talks with partners from two other law firms. While no deal has yet been signed, sources in the Italian market say a formal agreement is expected by mid-July.
Modenesi is a technology partner and was among the team that last year joined DLA from Coudert Brothers, led by Italian managing partner Federico Sutti.
DLA declined to comment.
