Tulkinghorn: cock au vin

The words Gleneagles Hotel conjure up images of a rarefied atmosphere, fine dining and expensive whiskies drunk in crystal glasses by a roaring fire. Not an ex-lawyer’s genitals.

But this Christmas hotel guests were treated to an impromptu sexual display from former Dickson Minto property partner Philip Anderson.

Eyewitness reports from the hotel’s Deseo restaurant suggest that Anderson got his Dickson out for a female companion as a sort of after dinner Minto.

The scene was reported in several Scottish news sources, including The Daily Record and The Scotsman newspapers.

The incident occurred in December and Anderson has since paid a £300 fine after pleading guilty to two criminal acts.

Four years ago Dickson Minto called in an investigator to look into allegations that two of the firm’s lawyers were involved in a drunken brawl during a weekend away at the Lake District’s Langdale resort (19 June 2004).
