Asda in-house counsel jumps ship to Eversheds

In a shock move, high profile Asda legal director Denise Jagger has left the supermarket group to take up partnership at Eversheds.

The firm has appointed Jagger to further develop the firm’s client relationship management programme and other services offered to inhouse counsel. Jagger will also work with managing partner David Gray in developing the firm’s corporate values and staff development.

Jagger was previously a lawyer with Slaughter and May before making the move in-house to Asda where she played a leading role in the supermarket’s takeover by US giant Wal-Mart.
