Liverpool firm Silverbeck Rymer has written to the Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine, urging him to review the County Court Act 1984 because it prevents thousands of people from obtaining credit, even though they are not a bad risk. Senior partner Jim Rymer says that under the act an individual who has an insurance claim made against them is registered as having a debt judgment, which can deter credit agencies.
