Simmons partner defects to Chiomenti

Simmons & Simmons' Italian practice has lost a financial markets partner and four associates to Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom ally Chiomenti Studio Legale

Manfredi Vianini Tolomei has left Simmons' Milan office after more than 10 years with the firm. The departures are a blow to Simmons, which had been bulking up its Italian practice over the last few months following the departure of former name partner Eugenio Grippo and 10 other lawyers to Linklaters ally Gianni Origoni & Partners in 2001.
