Bingham lose eleven to New York firm

Bingham McCutchen’s New York office has been hit with the loss of an 11-lawyer real estate team to Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler.

The group, including five partners, is made up of lawyers from Richard & O’Neil which merged with Bingham Dana (prior to its link-up with McCutchen Doyle Brown & Enersen) in 2001.

Meanwhile Seyfarth Shaw has boosted its New York real estate group by recruiting former Morgan Lewis partner Bradley Kaufman. With over 20 years experience, Kaufman has notched up a large client list and at the moment is acting on deals for expansionist retail groups H&M, Diesel and Camper.

Recently Kaufman acted for accountancy giant PricewaterhouseCooper on its lease of 800,000 sq ft at 300 Madison Avenue, New York.
