McGrigors introduces real estate first in firm rejig

An internal reorganisation at McGrigors has resulted in Katharine Hardie becoming the firm’s first head of real estate for Scotland.

Previously McGrigors had only a national head, Philip Burroughs, now managing partner for London.

The news coincides with two partner and six director level promotions within the firm, all of which take effect immediately. The promotions take the total number of partners to 54 and directors to 25.

McGrigors has enjoyed a period of relative calm in the last few months following the upheaval after its split from KPMG. Firmwide management is now split three ways between Burroughs, senior partner Kirk Murdoch, and national managing partner Colin Gray.

In March this year former managing partner Shonaig Macpherson announced her retirement from the firm, KLegal International chief executive Robert Glennie resigned and three corporate partners left the London office.
