Lovells has taken on New York Salans partner Russell DaSilva in a move to hike up its international finance practice.
DaSilva, who was previously the head of financial institutions at Salans, joined Lovells’ international banking practice last week.
He joins Lovells’ six New York partners. Three are litigators, two of them specialising in insurance and reinsurance, while three are capital markets partners.
Head of banking Andrew Gamble said: “Russell's arrival increases our resource in New York in just the right areas. We rate him highly from personal experience on deals; even better, we have many clients in common.”
DaSilva’s move follows the appointment of tax lawyer Julianne Reynolds and restructuring lawyer Karen Osted who joined as of counsel in September from Hunton & Williams and Kelley Drye & Warren respectively.
