LeBoeuf goes Wacko

Wacky, or wacko even, is not a word normally associated with insurance and energy powerhouse LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae.

Wacky, or wacko even, is not a word normally associated with insurance and energy powerhouse LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae.

Until now that is: for the firm, which normally contents itself with conservative jobs, such as bringing insurance companies to market, has moonwalked its way into the entertainment business by hiring Michael ‘Wacko’ Jackson’s defence lawyer. Well, one of them anyway.

See story.

They obviously Wanna Be Startin’ Something a bit different, although the firm doesn’t plan to represent any Smooth Criminals or to Heal The World: it is simply setting up an entertainment, media and sports practice.

Why? Because they can see the Money Honey.

Heading the practice is L. Londell McMillan alongside John Quinones and Bernard H. Jackson (no relation). The team is currently defending Wacko over his rights to ownership of the Beatles’ back catalogue. That should prove to be a Thriller.

As if The Way Michael Makes Them Feel isn’t enough for the firm, the team also counts a plethora of stars such as Prince, Stevie Wonder, Usher, Kanye West and Roberta Flack among its client list. LeBoeuf’s Christmas parties could get a whole lot funkier in future.
