Travel group Hogg Robinson has reshuffled its legal team, with senior solicitor Nigel Hirst promoted to the newly created post of commercial director and general counsel of the company’s Spendvision venture.
Hirst will oversee all legal matters at expense management solution provider Spendvision.
He plans to build the legal team in tandem with the company’s growth. He will report directly to chief executive Robert Kirby.
Hirst was previously a senior solicitor at Spend-vision’s majority shareholder Hogg Robinson Group, where he dealt with all legal technical matters as part of a team of five.
Hirst has been increasingly involved with contractual work for Spendvision over the past year. His replacement at Hogg Robinson is solicitor Nick Taylor, who was previously a solicitor at consultancy Network Law.
In early February 2005, Hogg Robinson invested in Spendvision and maintains board representation at the company. Spendvision most recently secured a contract to provide Anglian Water with its solutions.
