XXIV woos silk from Two Temple Gardens

Commercial chancery set XXIV Old Buildings has snared Michael Black QC of Two Temple Gardens – the silk who drafted the court procedure ;rules ;for the Dubai International ­Financial Centre.

Black, who took silk in 1995, headed Temple’s ­international arbitration and projects group.

XXIV practice director Nicholas Luckman said that Black’s practice, which includes construction and fraud, complemented the set’s core business areas.

“As a chambers we’re interested in practitioners who add strength to our domestic and international expertise and help create business opportunities in the UK, international ­markets and foreign jurisdictions,” said Luckman.

Black said XXIV will give him opportunities to develop his practice. “This is a chambers that doesn’t rest on its laurels, but uses its expertise intelligently to develop new markets,” he added.
