Wilberforce Chambers is pleased with the development of up-and-coming young clerk Reiss Nott, Tulkinghorn has learnt.
Just like Rocky and his raw eggs, the clerking team at Wilberforce has a recipe to beef up its sapling trainees. Hot talent deserves hot food, says senior clerk Declan Redmond. “Before joining us Reiss had never had a curry, and what better brain food than a vindaloo?”
But by forcing curry down the necks of its young clerks, Wilberforce may be storing up problems for the future. Other chambers may jump in and offer less spicy alternatives for bright young things. Nott says: “I have to admit, I still prefer meat and two veg.”
