Cobbetts partner Mark Green has been appointed as the German honorary consul for Manchester.
The role means that Green is the principal contact for German citizens in the Manchester region seeking consular assistance. He will also represent German business interests in the area.
Green qualified as a ‘Rechtsanwalt’ in Germany in 1996, and is already the honorary consul for Yorkshire. At Cobbetts he heads up the commercial practice.
Cobbetts has an eight-strong team of solicitors qualified in both England and Germany, including two partners, who specialise in working for German clients. Recently the firm hired partner Jan Becher from German firm Busse & Miessen to join the Birmingham commercial department.
