City legal worthies, including Allen & Overy senior partner Guy Beringer, Simmons & Simmons partner Richard Dyton and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer partner and resident footy nut Raj Parker, are set to walk 10km after work on Monday 18 April.

The exertion is in aid of The London Legal Support Trust, which funds London’s not-for-profit legal centres – an endangered species in this day and age.

Teams from London’s law centres, the Royal Courts of Justice (RCJ) Advice Bureau and Toynbee Hall will also be on the slog. The circular route will take lawyers out from the RCJ to the Law Officers’ offices in Buckingham Gate and then back to the Law Society on Chancery Lane. And hopefully then to the nearest pub – or in some cases health spa.

The organisers hope to raise at least £10,000. Anyone wanting to join the walk should send off for a form to secretary@londonlegalsupporttrust.org.uk.
