Weil takes Baker’s capital markets head for Euro push

Weil Gotshal & Manges is taking the next step in boosting its European capital markets practice after recruiting the group head of Baker & McKenzie’s Budapest office.

Konrad Siegler, head of the capital markets group at Baker & McKenzie will move to Weil Gotshal’s Budapest office on 1 September. He will lead the firm’s Hungarian capital markets and finance practice.

Siegler’s move coincides with the relocation Jeremy Dickens, co-head of the firm’s capital markets practice from New York to London. Dickens, who will arrive in the City this month, is expected to stay in the UK for two years to further build on the firm’s links with large institutions such as Lehman Brothers.
