Pro bono appeals: a life or death issue

I was disappointed to read the comments of the Senior Law Lord, Lord Browne-Wilkinson (The Lawyer 17 May). It is the great success of the pro bono appeals in the Privy Counsel which makes them worth hearing. I am disturbed that in matters of life and death Law Lords should be concerned about logistical considerations rather than those of human rights.
