Birmingham duo merge

Two of Birmingham’s oldest law firms, Blackhams and Bradley & Cuthbertson, have merged to create Blackhams Cuthbertson.
The new firm will have five partners and three associates and will be led by managing partner Paul Smith, who was a Blackhams partner. The firm is aiming for a fee income in excess of £2m by the end of its first year.
Blackhams Cuthbertson hopes that the combined forces of both firms will provide a significant boost to its private client base, which possesses particular expertise in property, probate, wills and trusts.
The firm will also have a corporate and commercial arm led by Andrew Beedham and Smith, which has experience of employment, commercial property, M&A, joint ventures and management buyouts.
