Studio Legale Sutti has recruited two leading academics as counsellors to its Milan office as part of a national and international expansion strategy.
Dr Tito Ballarino, a professor at the University of Padua, is an expert in maritime, aviation and international law. Ballarino’s involvement will boost the firm’s new Genoa office, which is the product of the merger with local firm Studio Pennisi (The Lawyer, 19 June).
Managing partner Stefano Sutti says: “He will allow us to offer better and more credible services to foreign clients in the area of maritime and admiralty law.”
Gustavo Ghidini, a professor at LUISS University in Rome and an intellectual property and competition law expert, has also joined the firm.
Ghidini will boost the service offered by the counterforce desk in the firm’s Milan office where he will advise victims of patent, trademark and product counterfeiting.
Studio Legale Sutti is exploring the possibility of opening an office in Brussels, where Ghidini’s expertise will be a major asset.
