Dibbs loses IP head

Neil Maybury, Dibbs' IP chief in Birmingham for the past five years, joins Putsmans as a senior consultant.

His task at his new firm will be to develop the IP section and work with senior management on strategic development issues.

Putsmans' head of business law development, Terry Lipscombe says: "Neil Maybury is one of the best known and most respected lawyer in the Birmingham business community and will play a key part in the expansion of our services to businesses throughout the Midlands."

Maybury says he took this new role to allow him more time to concentrate on family and personal business commitments.

He says: "Having spent my career in very large practices in London and Birmingham, I see a real opportunity for well-managed and ambitious medium-sized firms to make a significant impact in the legal services market.

"Putsmans is better positioned than most to respond quickly to market demand and to offer the kind of client care and value for money that has become increasingly uncommon.
