Burges Salmon staff cull continues

Burges Salmon is to make up to 27 business services staff and four property lawyers redundant as part of the second phase of its internal restructuring. The Bristol firm launched its cost-cutting drive in March, making 18 associates redundant and deferring start dates for seven of its future trainees. After completing a review of its business support function the firm has announced a second redundancy consultation due to start next week. Burges Salmon said those being made redundant would be offered packages in excess of the statutory minimum.
