Ashurst has strengthened its financial institutions group with the appointment of insurance partner Jonathan Drake from Clyde & Co.
Drake, a specialist in corporate insurance, joins Ashurst as a partner today (30 October), reuniting him with former Clydes colleague David Page.
Page moved across from Clydes, where he was head of corporate, last June.
Drake boosts Ashurst’s financial institutions group to seven partners. His client list includes Zurich Insurance and specialist reinsurance Imagine Group. His experience includes a period as general counsel at Odyssey Re UK.
Page said: “The global insurance markets continue to undergo a period of significant change that demands first-rate advice on regulatory, product development and transactional issues.”
