Farrer & Co has recruited partner Nigel Palmer to its media group and banking team. Palmer, who joins the firm from SJ Berwin, specialises in TV and film financing. He will be joined
by his assistant Lisa Mayo. The news follows the closure of SJ Berwin’s media practice, which saw Field Fisher Waterhouse hire outgoing SJ Berwin partner Tim Johnson to head its cross-practice media group. A further two SJ Berwin media partners, Sarah Bing and Charlotte McMillan, are on maternity leave.
