Credit is due to 7 King’s Bench Walk’s Jonathan Gaisman QC, who chose to come to the Hot 100 party instead of hearing the legendary Russian cellist and conductor Mstislav Rostropovich conduct up-and-coming violinist Maxim Vengerov at the Barbican Centre.
Gaisman did dash off early to catch the second half of the concert, but missed Vengerov’s performance of Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto. That’s dedication.
But then, Gaisman is something of an arts connoisseur, having developed a habit of going to the theatre or a concert practically every night. Is this the most cultured barrister in London?
