Charles Russell has strengthened its private client practice with a new partner and made two promotions in real estate and corporate and commercial.
While many firms have moved away from private client as a practice area, choosing to emphasise other areas such as banking and corporate, Charles Russell has adopted a different stance.
Andrew Cameron has been promoted in private client, Andrew Sharpe in corporate and commercial and Nigel Whittaker in real estate.
Corporate and commercial and real estate are established successful practice areas for the firm, with corporate contributing 25 per cent to the overall turnover.
Managing partner at Charles Russell James Holder commented: “Private client has always been important to us and has done well, but in recent years it’s really advanced. It now accounts for 20 per cent of turnover.
“Not many other firms are focusing on this area. It’s a very specialised area and we’ve done very well by having a strong team. There’s been excellent growth.”
