Davis Polk strengthens Paris with hire of Jeantet chief

Davis Polk & Wardwell has bolstered its corporate practice in Paris with the hire of Jeantet Associes managing partner Georges Terrier and corporate partner Christophe Perchet.

Terrier was managing partner at French independent Jeantet for seven years prior to joining Davis Polk, while Perchet spent six years as partner there after joining from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

The two partners worked together on one of the biggest corporate deals in France this year, advising Spanish construction giant Sacyr Vallehermoso on its €6.34bn (£2.46bn) acquisition of French company Eiffage.

The move takes Davis Polk up to 20 fee-earners in its Paris office, which opened two years ago.
