Berwin Leighton Paisner (Ian Brent) acted for online games retailer Gameplay in respect to its recommended takeover by an offshore trust. The bidder was advised by Lawrence Graham.

Edwin Coe (David Kinch, Russel Shear) advised the independent directors and management team on the buyout of Sporting Index Holdings. The buyout, backed by Duke Street Capital, with loan funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland, valued the company at £52.7m. Clifford Chance acted for Duke Street Capital, with the Royal Bank of Scotland advised by DLA.
