A former Tarlo Lyons corporate partner who accused the firm of sexual discrimination today (March 30) settled her case at a London employment tribunal.
Sarah Collins was made redundant at the start of 2003 after five years as a salaried partner at Tarlo Lyons.
Collins claimed she had been sacked only two hours after telling her partners she was pregnant. The former Tarlo Lyons partner had also claimed there had been repeated instances of “offensive” behaviour at the firm.
Tarlo Lyons denied all the claims made.
In a joint statement the two parties confirmed the case had been settled with the terms remaining confidential, after a hearing lasting a number of days.
The statement added that as part of the settlement “Miss Collins unreservedly withdraws all her claims before the tribunal, including her claims of sex discrimination against Tarlo Lyons.”
