Top 10 Manchester firm Cobbetts has raided Addleshaw Booth & Co’s company secretarial unit in order to set up its own practice.
Matthew Baker, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and the head of Addleshaw’s company secretarial unit, will be joining Cobbetts in November. He His colleagues Laura Forbes and Victoria Wilcox, both of whom are trainee company secretaries, are also moving to Cobbetts.
Cobbetts head of corporate Nicholas Fielden said: “I am delighted that Matthew and his team are joining Cobbetts. In my opinion, this will bring an extra dimension to the services we offer. It shows our commitment to offering quality services to our clients.”
Baker’s replacement at Addleshaws is Michael Harris who was appointed director of the company secretarial services unit earlier in the month.
