Newcastle Watson Burton has seen its half year turnover rocket up 59 per cent.
The North East firm, currently in the higher reaches of The Lawyer’s Rising 50, posted six month figures of £10.8m up from £6.8m for the same period last year.
If the firms fee income continue to grow at this rate for the remainder of the year it will enjoy a final turnover of more than £25m giving it a place in The Lawyer UK 100 for the first time.
Andrew Hoyle, Watson Burton’s senior partner said in a statement: “Our results demonstrate the success we’ve had in recruiting first class partners and staff who have boosted the firm’s strength and depth.
“They also reinforce the fact that Watson Burton’s combination of national quality services and regional pricing structure is one for which the market has a real appetite.”
In the last year the firm opened an office in Leeds and also recruited the following partners: David Bowden, Philip Jordan, Nick Kippax, Sharon Needle, Tristan Meears-White, Andrew Walker, and Mark Warburton.
