Mitre Court planning guru joins 39 Essex Street

Civil set 39 Essex Street has scored a coup by hiring leading barrister, Matthew Horton QC from the remains of 2 Mitre Court Buildings.

Senior planning specialist Horton’s move to the general civil and commercial practice will boost 39 Essex Street’s burgeoning planning group.

Horton has spent the last 34 years at 2 Mitre Court Buildings which dissolved in April. Head of the set Guy Roots QC, joined 2 Harcourt Buildings.

Richard Wald, a junior planning specialist, is also moving to 39 Essex Street from the former 2 Mitre Court.
