The former operations manager of 4-5 Gray's Inn Square is bringing a claim of constructive dismissal against her former set.
Miriam Don resigned from the chambers earlier this year after a conflict blew up over whether her name appeared above or below that of senior clerk Michael Kaplan on a chambers Christmas card.
Don was accused of failing to resolve the issue with the marketing committee or her boss, former chambers director Tony Wells. This led to disciplinary proceedings against her and a four-hour appeal hearing, after which Don was issued with a final warning. The cost of reprinting the cards would have been approximately £180.
Don is represented by independent legal adviser Frank Irons and the chambers by Matthew Smith at Lovells and employment specialist Bruce Carr of Devereux Chambers.
The case has been scheduled for a two-day hearing at the London Central Tribunal on 11 December.
