Schillings has teamed up with US firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld to tackle the issue of enforcing UK court orders in the US.
Schillings partner Simon Smith and founding partner Keith Schilling are meeting in-house counsel in the US in September alongside Akin Gump white-collar crime partner Mark MacDougall to discuss how and if UK court orders can be enforced in the US.
Schillings business director Christopher Mills said: “What’s driving this is the increase in international matters. The change in legislation around English court orders is important. These seminars will discuss the issues around this legislation.”
Schillings works closely with Akin Gump and a numbers of other firms to provide international capabilities on cases.
Smith, Schilling and MacDougall will host two seminars in Washington DC and New York in September before hosting a seminar in London.
