Bruce Bean, the recently installed managing partner at Coudert Brothers' Moscow office, will serve on the Investor Protection Working Group of the US-Russia Capital Markets Forum. The forum was set up in order to assist the Russian government in identifying reform requirements for the development of Russian capital markets. It consists of four working groups: capital market infrastructure, collective investment funds, taxation and accounting and investor protection. The forum initiative was established jointly by US vice-president Gore and Russian prime minister Viktor Chernomyrdin. Leading participants in the Investor Protection Working Group include John Reed, chair of Citibank, Deryck Maughn, chair of Salomon Brothers, David Komansky, president of Merrill Lynch, and John Hennessy, chair of Credit Suisse First Boston.
