US firm Steptoe & Johnson has launched a new office in Century City, California, with the hire of four partners from local firm Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahan.
Steptoe’s new partners are Mark Neubauer, Rebecca Edelson, Katessa Charles Davis and Meredith Moss. All four were partners in Alschuler’s business litigation department in Santa Monica.
Neubauer specialises in capital markets and real estate litigation. Edelson focuses on IP and trade secret disputes. Davis and Moss specialise in employment litigation.
Lawrence Riff, managing partner of Steptoe’s Los Angeles office said: “We’ve been looking for the right fit of practice, personality and professionalism, and these folks’ joining us is a home run on all counts.”
Century City is Steptoe’s seventh office, with outposts in LA, Washington DC, New York, Phoenix, London and Brussels.
