Helen Sage reports
Family law practitioners will have access to a new CD-ROM of family law reports from October. The reports, part of the Justis electronic library of legal information, will enable practitioners to retrieve information quickly on a range of family law issues, from child abuse to financial settlements on divorce. The Justis software developed by Jordans and Context is compatible with its Weekly Law Reports CD-ROM to allow cross-reference between sets of law reports and other databases.
On-line gay advice
The Lesbian and Gay Lawyers Association has set up an Internet noticeboard for the informal communication of legal opinions and advice. The association, which represents lesbian and gay lawyers and improves the provision of legal services to lesbians and gays, does not intend the noticeboard to be a substitute for taking professional legal advice, but hopes members will refer users to suitable solicitors in their area.
