Baker & McKenzie (B&M) has boosted its Frankfurt finance practice with the hire of debt and securitisation partner Mark Odenbach.
Odenbach previously ran a boutique law firm in London which offered advice on German financial regulatory law, before which he was at the London office of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood. At B&M, he will focus on structured finance and the debt financing of bonds and syndicated loans.
The US firm has a very credible German banking and finance practice, particularly in its market-leading bank lending and acquisition finance practice and in securitisation. It also lists syndicated loans, project finance and high-value leasing among its core services in Germany.
Frankfurt banking and finance head Rainer Magold said: “Mark’s background… further strengthens our existing banking and finance practice in Germany.”
