Scuffle of the week

Some might call it passing the buck. The Office for the Supervision of Solicitors (OSS) is accusing the Law Society of not providing it with the resources to do its job, although it fell short of accusing the Law Society of causing a flood in Leamington Spa. Perhaps the situation could be resolved by rooting out the 20 per cent of solicitors who cause 80 per cent of the problems, according to the OSS annual report, which also showed complaints against solicitors reaching an all-time high of almost 32,000 last year.
