Two trainee solicitors have written a book to bridge the gap between academic legal study and the practice of law. Gerald Montagu, of Macfarlanes, and Mark Weston, of Allen & Overy, pooled their skills to write The Legal Practice Companion after completing the Legal Practice Course and then moving into private practice. Former Law Society president Charles Elly says in the foreword: “This book will help all of us to avoid mistakes.”
