IT contractor Fujitsu Services has bolstered its private sector in-house team, hiring Pinsent Masons associate Michael Harvey.
Harvey will report to private sector legal head David Roberts, who joined Fujitsu in March from CMS Cameron McKenna.
Jonathan Smith, legal director at Fujitsu, said: “It goes back to that same principle that we like to do as much work in-house as we can.
“We wanted to strengthen the team there and Michael’s an incremental hire to do that.”
Fujitsu has been expanding its UK legal team steadily, hiring Olswang technology partner Clive Davies in May.
The move came just two months after the company lured Roberts from Camerons, where he was head of the technology, media and telecoms group.
Harvey’s practice focuses on IP law and outsourcing.
