Peter Kerman, the firm's Silicon Valley managing partner, returned the praise. “We've looked for a long time to find someone of Matt's quality,” he said. “He's a great trial lawyer with tremendous biotech and high-tech patent litigation experience.” Lehr has acted for Unisys, Playtex and Dow Chemical.
Klein specialises in licensing and technology transactions. His practice includes negotiating software licensing and distribution deals, joint ventures and providing general business advice.
Kerman commented: “Klein's experience across a large number of industry sectors and a wide range of transactions is very important, given the breadth of the office's client base.”
Klein said: “Latham has built a top-notch technology transactions practice, not just here in Silicon Valley, but also around the country and around the world.”
The appointments bring Latham's Silicon Valley office up to a total of 15 partners.
