Tulkinghorn would like to congratulate Linklaters managing partner Tony Angel for finishing the London Marathon in just under four and a half hours. Angel, who ran the marathon to raise money to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis, finished the 26.3-mile course in a highly creditable four hours and 28 minutes.
Angel could not be contacted for comment at the time of going to press – Tulkinghorn had hoped to ascertain the truth of a rumour that the man has taken himself off to Champneys for a week’s recuperation. No matter – Mrs Tulkinghorn was surprisingly keen to go undercover to check out the accuracy of this rumour herself.
