In brief: Lovells loses its head of insolvency

Lovell White Durrant's head of insolvency, Peter Horrocks, a leading practitioner in his field, is retiring from the firm and will serve his 12 months notice until October 1998. Horrocks has been a partner at the firm for 22 years and played a key role in the BCCI liquidation. He said he was keen for a career change away from being a “pure legal adviser”. Assistant Garth Coates, Lovells' only specialist immigration lawyer, is also leaving the firm to join Simmons & Simmons' immigration group.
