From a cosy leather seat in his country pile, Tulkinghorn enjoys the savage wilderness that is the great outdoors. Much like the partners at Eversheds, who are deciding whether to put in a stretch of grass on the roof of their new building. Tulkinghorn wonders whether it would just be an excuse for the golf enthusiasts at the firm to get in a bit of putting practice at the office.
One of Tulkinghorn’s scribes overheard that Eversheds partners were also discussing the merits of installing bird boxes on the building. The partners are apparently lukewarm about the idea, which might see the building become a glorified toilet for pigeons.
One Eversheds partner was heard to predict: “DLA will probably send all the pigeons over to us.”
Well, if they weren’t thinking of it before, they’ll certainly consider it now.
