Weil Gotshal & Manges has added a new Austin branch to its presence in Texas, which also includes Houston and Dallas. Gregory Coleman, national head of Weil Gotshal's Supreme Court and appellate litigation group, will relocate to Austin from Houston with four lawyers to head up the new branch. Atlanta firm Ogletree Deakins Nash Smoak & Stewart has also opened in Austin. Bruce Griggs, a former partner from Locke Liddell & Sapp, will head up the new office. Ogletree has also plucked a former trio of Brobeck Phleger & Harrison lawyers to help build up its second office, this time in Los Angeles.
