Mediating the wrong way

I was recently speaking to one of my matrimonial clients who gave me her own perspective on mediation (having had six or seven mediation sessions with her husband).

She said that when she was living with her husband, he used to shout at her every night for two hours. She is no longer living with him but instead she is having to go to mediation and is being charged the sum of £30 per session for the privilege of him continuing to shout at her.

In her view this was very much a case of "rubbing salt into the wound". Please Legal Aid Board, take note.
