McDermott boosts London with double hire

Richard Britain is joining the firm from Linklaters, while Nicholas Azis is moving from Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom's London office. Both lawyers will join McDermott as partners.
Since setting up the London office in November 1998, the firm has housed just three UK-qualified corporate partners, including head William Charnley, Richard Beresford and Stephanie Liston, who also specialises in technology and telecoms.
Last year, the London office built up its US corporate capability by taking on Rick Mitchell from Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison as well as Dan Rabinowitz from Davis Polk & Wardwell in the UK.
