Carillion panel takes a hit from 40 to 11

Carillion has slashed its panel from 40 firms to just 11, following a beauty parade by the construction giant. Slaughter and May has, for the first time, been appointed to the panel as primary adviser on corporate, competition and IP matters. It replaces Linklaters, which has been retained for projects work. Other newly appointed firms are Reynolds Porter Chamberlain and Reading firm Clarks. Firms dropped from the panel include Trowers & Hamlins, Wragge & Co, Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw, Simmons & Simmons and Campbell Hooper.
