Clyde & Co has appointed Dominic Lee as its first managing partner of its growing Hong Kong and China practice.

Lee, who has been a partner at Clydes in Hong Kong since 1997, will oversee the development of the firm’s Hong Kong and mainland Chinese offering in the newly-created role.

Clydes secured a licence to open its first mainland office in Shanghai in early 2006, having launched in Hong Kong in 1981.

Lee will also focus on supplying the firm with regional banking and asset finance capabilities in order to provide a full service for clients.

Clydes’ chief executive Peter Hasson said that Lee’s experience and understanding of the firm would be key to achieving the goals set.
